The service of podiatry we offer at the Health First Studio cover a wide range of services aimed at the correct diagnosis and treatment of foot disorders. These services can be grouped into two perfectly differentiated but complementary blocks: Quiropodology or General Podiatry and Biomechanics.

Chiropodology

Basically, it focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of the problems that usually appear on the feet of patients more frequently. In a chiropodology session we eliminate all the calluses, hardness, rooster eyes, we perform a nail cutting and milling, cleaning channels and treatment of ingrown toenails. If the patient presents some papilloma is also treated, although in this case will be several sessions necessary for the complete healing of the plantar wart. If there is a fungal problem in the skin (athlete’s foot) or in the nails (onychomycosis), treatment is prescribed for its complete elimination.

The chiropodology usually bring great satisfaction and well-being to the patients since the result is usually immediate; The pain or discomfort caused by the patient’s problem ceases immediately after the consultation.

Biomechanics

In Health First Studio, the podiatrist studies biomechanics not only of the foot but of the entire lower limb to determine the origin of mechanical problems and establish an adequate treatment to solve them.

To do this, we carried out a rigorous computerized biomechanical study and with platform T-Plate in our consultation with which we will identify the origin of the patient’s problem. If applicable, plantar orthoses or insoles are prescribed that correct the possible defects of tread and walking and solve in most cases the problems derived from them.

Some of the problems derived from a defective biomechanics and that can be solved with templates are:

– Placid fasciitis and calcaneal spur

– Shortening Aquíleo

– Metatarsalgia

– Pie dig

– Flat foot

– Excessive Pronation

– Defective supination

– Tendinitis several
